 March 26, 2015 ~ (Pictured below) The GHS Steel Drum Band was selected to perform at the PMEA State Conference in Hershey, PA.

Joining Band Director Christopher Williams and the GHS Steel Drum Band were James Flowers and Shelly Irvine.

  • Professional saxophonist James Flowers is adjunct professor of saxophone at Westminster College.
  • Shelly Irvine (red & black shirt) holds a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Akron and is a professional steel drum tuner and clinician. He travels throughout the United States tuning steel drums and performing clinics for high school and college percussion programs. He is co-founder of Panyard Inc. an innovative steel drum company located in Akron.

 

September 26, 2014 ~ The 2014 - 2015 GHS Steel Drum Band take time out of their busy schedule for a picture in the yard of the high school.
